I’ve just posted one of my handmade fabric birthday crowns in my etsy shop. I think it would be a fun costume addition for Valentine’s Day!
This crown is a soft peachy pink polka dots and the reverse side is the light gray with white flowers and dots.

Today I posted a few handmade toddler bibs in my Etsy shop. These are backed with terry towel cloth so they are super absorbent, for the little people working on neatness. Ha! Who am I kidding? It’s for the toddlers, like mine, who are working on their dip painting skills. I’ll be [...]
Today’s favourite things fridays is my friend Denielle Wiebe (Molipop) and her handmade slippers, baby shoes, kindle cases, stockings and more! She’s currently celebrating her 1st year anniversary of selling on Etsy by offering a store-wide 20% discount until Monday (the 21st)! Just use the coupon code HAPPYANNIVERSARY at the checkout. She makes high [...]
I’ve been busy sewing for the Quesnel Farmers’ Markets, including these handmade baby Mary Janes. My 2-year old keeps wanting to try them on but they’re too small for her. (Thinking I might need to make a larger pattern to fit her size 6). I’ll be posting these in my Etsy [...]
For my daughter’s 2nd birthday, I made this eco-friendly reusable birthday bunting. It’s about 9 feet long, with 36 triangles about 3″ by 4″. It’s reversible also, with similar colours on the opposite side. I sewed loops in the end of the bias tape but in this case, I just clipped it [...]
I recently tried using a free baby shoes pattern but didn’t like how the rough edges were exposed inside the shoe. So I decided to buy a pattern and try making these sweet Baby Mary Janes. These look pretty cute (and are pretty soft with their flannel lining), but my [...]
Here’s another project I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s my first attempt at an SLR camera strap cover. I like the look of patchwork even though it takes longer to make. If I make them again I’d make it a little longer so it doesn’t show the Canon camera strap underneath.
One of my latest craft projects are these pin cushion jars. The pin cushions are filled with silica sand so your pins will be sharpened as you use them! And the jars are great to store extra pins, thread, buttons, etc. I’m going to bring these to the Quesnel Farmers’ Markets (November 26, December 3, [...]
Today’s favourite things fridays is vintage fabric. I found some fun craft projects made with vintage sheets on flickr. I have found a few vintage sheets at thrift stores and have used some of them in my craft projects, including a birthday crown and bunting. For my next vintage sheet project, I think I’d like to [...]
One of my latest craft projects are eco-friendly reversible birthday crowns. The crowns fit my 2-year old daughter and also fit me (snugly) because I used large pieces of velcro so they easily adjust. I’ve started posting them in my etsy shop. I’m looking forward to creating the tradition of my daughter wearing the [...]
